Alessia Gualandris: Home page
I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Rochester Institute of Technology working on galactic dynamics.
My research interests include:
Dynamics of galactic nuclei with massive black holes, implications of gravitational radiation recoil.
Dynamics of the Milky Way’s center, ejection of hypervelocity stars, origin of the young stars orbiting the supermassive black hole.
Formation and observational signatures of intermediate mass black holes.
Implementation and performance of N-body codes for the simulation of dense stellar systems on parallel computers and special purpose hardware (GRAPEs, GPUs).
